Swingy Todd: Golf for a good cause

| September 19, 2020 1:00 AM

Friends of Todd Hudson will gather to play a little golf and share fond memories of their friend, Todd, who passed away in August of 2017 at the age of 53.

"Todd was the big-hearted, fun-loving, humble man behind Hudson’s Hamburgers fame," a press release said. "The two-day event will commemorate Todd Hudson’s legacy with proceeds benefiting his favorite programs for children."

The festivities will kick off with a pre-golf celebration at 7 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the CaddyShack, 1100 W. Prairie Ave. Pre-golf celebration tickets cost $25 per person and include food and two drink tickets.

On Oct. 4, golfers will gather on The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course for an 11 a.m. shotgun start and take part in the 18-hole, Scramble tournament. Tickets are $150 per golfer and include golf and a gourmet boxed lunch from The Resort.

For the second time in Hudson’s 110-year-old history, they’ll be auctioning off an exclusive late-night burger party for 20 at Hudson’s Hamburgers. The auction starts on Oct. 3 and will continue until 6 p.m. on Oct. 4. Bids will be accepted in person or online.

"True to Todd’s legacy, proceeds from these events will benefit kids high on golf but low on funds, and the Stories with Stewy children’s reading incentive program," the release said.
