LEN: Count us in!
I am the son of a career Air Force Officer (Lt. Col.) who was a highly decorated World War II veteran having flown 24 missions over Germany as the Navigator/Bombardier in a B-24 Liberator. He served in Strategic Air Command and finally retired from the Air Force after 30-plus years. Though he passed in 1997, I’m sure he would be proud to join Len Crosby as a “Loser” and a “Sucker,” as am I!
Here are my qualifications to join with Len:
• Three years of service in the U.S. Army
• 1st Lt. Military Police Corps
• Detachment commander of 9th MP Dt. as Physical Security Officer of a Nuclear Weapons Storage Facility in Germany (9 months)
• Platoon Leader of the 109th MP Platoon in Frankfurt Germany
• Criminal Investigations Officer for the 3rd Armored Division Frankfurt Germany
• Active Duty (Dec. 29, 1969 to April 8, 1972).
I am proud to say I have two brothers and two sons who also served and would proudly stand with Len, who is one of the finest men I have ever been honored to know!
