Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to E Annapolis Ct. for an injury crash. A male was attempting to jumpstart his 1969 Jaguar XK Type E roadster with his 4 runner. When he stepped out of the Toyota, it popped into gear, lurching forward and pinning him between the two cars. He then fell and was drug under the Toyota and into a flower bed. He was transported to KH with non-life threatening injuries.

• Deputies responded to the area of Hutter Rd. and Lancaster Rd. for a report of a train vs. vehicle accident. The train engineer said he thought he hit a truck that was rushing to beat the train. Deputies walked the tracks in both directions and could find no vehicle. The only evidence at the scene were small skid marks on the roadway, left by the car. Later a witness called in stating they had witnessed the incident but it appeared the truck just barely missed the train.

• Animal Control took a report of a Great Pyrenees was found dead by its owner, lying in the driveway of the residence. It appeared as if the dog had been shot with a .22. It is unknown if the dog was on the property when it was shot or somewhere else. A report was completed.

• A Deputy conducted follow up on a theft report he took during the previous shift. He responded to W. Rice Ave. in Hauser Lake. After interviewing suspect, the Deputy was able to locate the stolen property. The male suspect was arrested for his outstanding warrant and charged with theft.

• Deputies responded to the area Chateaux in Hayden for a report of a male sleeping in his truck that did not belong in the area. A male was contacted and warned not to drive from the area as he did not have a valid license. A Deputy was in the area later working on other reports and noticed the male driving away. He was stopped and arrested for DWP. A K9 search of the car turned up heroin and marijuana paraphernalia. The male was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• An off duty ISP Trooper located an intoxicated subject in a car in the Hayden Walmart parking lot that had reportedly hit a vehicle. A Deputy responded to the scene and arrested the male for DUI .310/.307. He was also charged for no insurance as well.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Detectives gathered intel on a wanted male and were able to track him down in Dalton Gardens. With an assist from a Deputy and K9 partner Dyno, the male was arrested on his felony warrant without incident. 20-40116

• Detectives located wanted male in the area of Aqua Circle X Government Way on foot. He was taken into custody for his felony DUI warrant without incident. 20-40122.

• A Deputy responded to N Cliff House Rd for an overdose. Upon her arrival she located a female who was breathing but not conscious. Once medical arrived the female was transported to Kootenai Health and admitted. 20-40124.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to Cave Bay on CDA Lake for a suspicious boat call. The RP called and said a boat was in the water near their dock and a female on the boat said she was lost and was trying to get back to CDA. The RP said the female flashed a light on the boat and he saw two males running on a dock near his. He said there was also someone on the boat holding up a blanket. They searched the area by car and on foot and didn't find anyone or anything out of the ordinary, however it is believed they were possibly there to commit some thefts.
