COEUR d'ALENE — Rylee Peterson had nine kills as Coeur d'Alene Charter topped North Idaho Christian School 25-19, 25-20, 25-11 in a nonconference volleyball match on Monday at Holy Family Catholic School.

"NICS played 100 percent better than last week," Charter coach Cynthia Beyer said. "They've improved a whole bunch. We struggled a bit with our passing."

Maddie Kociela added six kills and 11 digs, and Quincy Riggs had 24 assists for the Panthers (3-0), who travel to Priest River tonight in an Intermountain League matchup.

Postponements

Two high school soccer games scheduled for Monday — the Coeur d'Alene at Lakeland boys match, and Lakeland at Coeur d'Alene girls match — were postponed due to air-quality issues. Makeup dates were not announced.

Tonight's scheduled Moscow at Lake City high school volleyball game also has been postponed, due to classes being canceled today at Moscow High School.
