COMMISSIONERS: Wrong on CARES money
Kootenai County Board Of Commissioners vetoed Gov. Brad Little’s “Property Tax Relief Program,” which was part of the $10 million “Cares Act,” which was aimed to help public safety, hospitals and lower people’s property taxes.
The commissioners said they were afraid of misusing the funds provided to them and of miscellaneous federal audits that may come in the future. What are they — crooks?
I say they screw over businesses, health care facilities and the homeowners that really needed those monies to assist in their financial needs due to COVID-19. It’s high time we get in commissioners that can think more responsibly of the public and not make such stupid decisions.
