Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Traffic Deputy conducted traffic patrols in the school zones in the Lakeland School district. While in front of Garwood Elementary the Deputy stopped 5 vehicles for speed. One was travelling 46 mph in the 25 mph school zone. Several citations were issued.

• Deputies responded to Driver's Licensing and arrested a male on a confirmed warrant from 2015.

• Deputies completed a cold battery investigation after a 16YO child reported being hit in the face by their father earlier in the week. Neither the child, nor parents wanted any further action taken. A report was completed.

• Deputies responded to N. 16th St. in Dalton Gardens for a report of a family dispute. Upon arrival, it was learned that a female had walked in to her sister's, house and refused to leave. The female has a history of this and was caught 2 months ago trying to enter the residence through the doggie door but LE was not contacted at that time. The female was trespassed from the property, however, based on her attitude, it appears this may happen again.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies handled a three vehicle crash at Ramsey x Prairie. Minor injuries were reported, but no one was transported. Crash report completed. 20-39199

• Deputies responded to W Hayden Avenue for a malicious injury to property report. The R/P called to report that items on his RV were damaged while it was parked at the location. The R.P suspected his former boss of committing the crime. Report was taken. 20-39222

• Deputies handled a call at the Hayden Library regarding a male at the location "being rude" toward one of the librarians after he was told to wear a mask. 20-39223

• Deputies responded to an address on Tinsmith after the R/P called to report a female was on her porch demanding her phone. While en route, the female called to report that her husband's phone was stolen in Post Falls and pinged at the location. Deputies searched the residence with the homeowners permission, however, could not locate the phone. The female was advised to call PFPD to make a report. 20-39248

• Deputies responded to Eagle Peak Road for an unwanted person. The R/P called to report that unknown people were knocking on her door and refusing to identify themselves. The R/P lives far out in the woods, where visitors are not likely to occur. When deputies arrived on scene the suspects had already left. They searched the area and were unable to locate anything suspicious. 20-39241

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies took a theft of a wallet call and a burglary call at the CDA Casino. There was a suspect on video committing the crimes so the Deputy called her to try to lure her back into Idaho. She claimed it was not her and did not fall for his trick. 20-39235

• Deputies responded to a DVA Violation at Salmonberry Loop where a male was violating the terms of the protection order by texting his 7 month pregnant ex-girlfriend photos of broken baby strollers and other upsetting images. The victim was quite afraid of the male. The male was arrested for the violation. 20-39255

• Deputies responded to the El Patio for a report of a patron punching the bartender's car, causing significant damage. They located the suspect at the Kon Tiki who admitted to punching the car because he was offended at El Patio and his reaction was to damage someone else's property. He was taken into custody for malicious injury to property. 20-39260

• Deputies responded to the construction zone at Prairie x Pleasantview after a vehicle ignored the FOUR road closed signs driving westbound on Prairie and hit a 5 foot pile of rocks sitting in the road and like the “Dukes of Hazard” jumped the pile of rocks at 35 mph. The driver was transported with back and neck injuries. 20-39272
