Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to E. White Cloud Rd. for an overdose. A male was located unresponsive by EMS. Narcan was administered by EMS and the male came around. OxyContin pills were located and seized. The male was transported by EMS and a report was completed.

• Deputies responded to a therapist office in Hayden for an overdose. A male was in a session when he began having difficulty and became lethargic. He admitted he had taken over a weeks’ worth of medication overnight in an attempt to kill himself. The male was taken to KH for evaluation.

• Deputies responded to the English Point Trail Head for a found child. A two year old was found in the parking area. The parents were located and had been looking for the child. Apparently the child likes to run a head on the trail and usually stops and the family catches up. The child ran and hid and the family was trying to find him when the child came to the parking lot and was re-untied with the family. FI completed.

• Several Deputies responded to the area of the W/B Huetter Rest Area to assist ISP. ISP was on a stop and investigating a missing female when the male in the car took off running north into the woods. While deputies were responding to assist with a perimeter, a Trooper said he saw the male running north toward the tree line in the field near Mullan and Huetter. A Deputy who was coming into the area was able to take the male into custody with no further resistance. The male, had been furloughed from jail in Washington but escaped supervision and fled because he knew he had warrants. ISP was working out the details and took the male into custody.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a suspicious at E. Prairie Ave. The R/P reported a male and female “strapping up with a bunch of firearms” next to a vehicle in the parking lot. The R/P reported multiple firearms were being holstered including on the hip and leg as well as vests. Additional witnesses on scene said they saw the vests had “Agent” on them. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle and individuals and no further calls were received.

• Deputies responded to N. Melrose Street for a suspicious. The R/P said she heard dogs barking and when she went out and looked, there was a Hispanic male in his 30’s in the corner who was hiding in the bushes. The male told the R/P he was “hiding from the sun”. Deputies contacted the male who was resting in the area after walking a long distance. 20-39032

• A Deputy stopped and arrested a male at I90 X Hwy 95 for DUI (.182/.178) and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. 20-39066

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Heidi Ct for an unattended death. A male had significant medical problems and had not been feeling good all day and passed away. Nothing suspicious was noted.

• Deputies responded to Super 1 Hayden for a possible DUI. Deputies contacted a female who was obviously intoxicated. She blew a .211/.213 and was charged for DUI Excessive. 20-39088

• Deputies took a citizen assist at W. Highway 53. The RP wanted to let us know about a domestic between her and her boyfriend but didn't want to report it. She reported a male tried to strangle her and battered her. He also had a felony warrant. She said he was driving a truck pulling a coffee stand on a trailer and was likely in the Dalton area. Deputies found the truck and trailer parked at a business on N. Government Way and observed the male at the business. Units set up on the business and contacted the business owner who had not let male in but said he may be sleeping in a shed on the property. Deputies located the male in the shed and he and K9 Dyno were able to convince the male to exit the shed. He was taken into custody without incident. 20-39096
