Youth wrestling league
postponed until spring
The North Idaho youth wrestling league has postponed the season until the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season will start in late February with the first tournament March 6th. Please contact your local club director to find out exact practice start dates.
Cascade Conference announces
schedule revisions
CORVALLIS, ORE. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the approved 2020-21 schedule revisions and non-conference limits Wednesday afternoon. The revisions were made to men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and men's and women's golf.
"My thanks to our scheduling committees, the Athletic Directors and our Council of Presidents for the effort put into revamping and approving our revised schedules," stated Commissioner Robert Cashell. "The end game continues to be providing the best possible experience for our student-athletes as possible and we will continue to make decisions based on the very best information we have at our disposal."
In terms of non-conference activities, soccer is limited to no competitions until after January 1 and only one counting competition and one scrimmage are permitted.
For volleyball, no competitions can take place until after January 1 and in terms of non-conference activities, teams are limited to two dates of competition and two scrimmages.
Men's and women's cross country teams can participate in a maximum of two non-conference cross country meets any time in the month of November. The conference championship meet is slated to take place on March 26.
The 2021 CCC men's and women's golf dates are open to conference schools only and in terms of non-conference activities, men's and women's golf teams are able to participate in a maximum of two golf competitions any time during the month of November.
The basketball limits for the upcoming season are two non-conference counting competitions and two non-counting competitions, with no more than two of the four opportunities can be counters.
For baseball and softball, no competitions may take place until after January 1.
