POST FALLS — Brandon Chavez scored a tying goal in the 75th minute for Coeur d’Alene Charter, but a late goal by Immaculate Conception gave the Cristeros a 4-3 win over the Panthers in a nonleague match at Bodine Field on Wednesday.

“It was a typical first game,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Justin Nitti said. “We’ve got some things to work on and need our guys to get their feet under them. It was good to see what a match looks like and what we’ve got in store this season. They’re a good team and both of us can improve from this.”

Jordan Gallegos and Chavez scored in the first half for Coeur d’Alene Charter, which faces the Post Falls JV at Post Falls today at 4 p.m.
