Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies assisted ISP in the recovery of a stolen U-Haul trailer on I-90 at MP 11. ISP conducted the investigation.

• Deputies responded to E. Wildlife Trail where a Census Taker said he was battered by the homeowner. Previous Census Takers had been told to leave and not come back but this one decided to try again. The home owner became irate and pushed the worker off the porch and onto the ground. The homeowner then retrieved a rifle and followed the worker as he left the property. The worker said he did not want to press charges and admitted it was not smart to go to the property again. Report was completed.

• Deputies took a citizen dispute call at N. Chateaux Dr. The R/P said she accidentally hit a bright green sports car in the parking lot of Costco. She left a note with her name and phone number on the windshield. She said when she got home, she had a vulgar message on her answering machine from the car's owner. Shortly thereafter, she said a man was banging on her door. She looked outside and saw the same green car. The R/P was concerned because she did not leave her address, just her phone number and was not sure how the car's owner found out where she lived. FI completed.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to an injury crash at Huetter x Prairie. A vehicle was travelling west on Prairie and ran the light and into another vehicle, who was crossing Prairie. One driver was transported to KH for moderate injuries. The driver who ran the light as cited for failure to yield. 20-37597

• Deputies handled an assault call at E. McTavish Ave. An R/P called and said while “showing” his house to a potential male buyer, the buyer “put his hands down the back of his pants and deep into his butt crack”. When asked to please stop, the male continued to touch his butt crack and gestured that he was going to touch the R/P. The male then touched the door knobs. The homeowner was furious and wanted charges filed for some crime. However there is nothing in Idaho Code that covered this incident. The call was cleared with call notes.

• Deputies arrested a male at Post Falls Super 1 for his warrants (Petit theft, Possession of dangerous drugs). The male was also charged with possession of prescription II drug. 20-37624/20-37629

• Deputies responded to JDC and arrested a female juvenile for her warrant for disturbing the peace. 20-37574

• Deputies responded to Hayden Super 1 for a theft. An R/P said two male teenagers were attempting to steal alcohol, and there was a getaway vehicle waiting for them outside. Deputies contacted two males who were charged with aiding in a misdemeanor. A third male was charged with petit theft and commercial burglary. 20-37584

• Deputies responded to a minor injury crash at Dodd Rd X Hayden Lake Road. 20-37622

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies contacted a transient at the Amerimart. He was intoxicated and sitting by the propane tank after the business closed. He said he stays by the river on the Washington side but likely frequents the Stateline area. An FI was created. 20-37644
