COUNTY: Change structure at top

I agree with Commissioner Bill Brooks; it is time for a change in the Kootenai County Board of Commissioners’ leadership structure.

I am a registered ‘unaffiliated’ voter and have lived in North Idaho 44 years. The Coeur d’Alene Press editorial on Aug. 28 was spot-on. We are no longer living in 1890 with a population of 4,000. With our current population at 170,000 and a county budget of $100 million, we need broader representation from all areas of our county.

Remember, folks, “No taxation without representation.”

My question is, why would anyone be opposed to this restructure when it can be so much more efficient, effective and provide better representation “of the people, by the people, for the people?”
