Wood, a junior, won the girls race at the Sandpoint IEL cross country meet last Friday at Travers Park in a personal-best 17 minutes, 59 seconds, winning by more than a minute and a half. Wood led the Trojans to a first-place finish. "Not super surprised, but I'm impressed that she was able to do it completely by herself and not with somebody else being able to pull her along or have that competition," Post Falls coach Brian Trefry said.
