Two people were hurt in a hit-and-run crash Sunday afternoon on Highway 41 three miles north of Rathdrum.

Idaho State Police said a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle occupied by Albert G. Galli, 73, Post Falls, and his passenger Amy L. Galli, 49, Post Falls, was southbound about 4:15 p.m. when a 2017 Subaru Outback driven by Kearen R. Young, 50, of Honolulu, failed to yield to traffic and turned west on to Village Boulevard from northbound Highway 41.

Galli struck Young on the passenger side, ejecting both occupants from the motorcycle, ISP said in a press release.

Young left the scene but was later located and arrested for leaving the scene of an injury crash, police said.

Both occupants of the motorcycle were wearing helmets and were transported to Kootenai Health by ambulance.

An investigation continues.
