Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to Fernan Lake rd., just past the Fernan Village regarding an unknown injury crash. Prior to their arrival, Central Dispatch advised the vehicle went off the road and down an embankment and was stopped by a tree prior to going in the water. Upon their arrival they learned it was a single vehicle, single occupant non injury crash. After the Deputies investigation the driver was charged for DUI excessive .229/.230

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to the Prairie shopping center in regards to a welfare check. According to the RP, a male was seen sleeping in his running vehicle near Right Aid. The Deputy arrived on scene and observed a red truck stopped in the parking lot, blocking a lane of travel. The Deputy contacted the driver and immediately observed him to be under the influence. After conducting SFST’s, he was arrested for DUI Drugs. 20-45240

• A Deputy contacted a female in the parking lot of Hayden Super1. He learned she had a warrant for her arrest (Petit Theft). She was arrested and transported to the PSB. 20-45270

• A Deputy responded to the JDC in regards to a warrant service. The Deputy arrested the juvenile for his warrant 20-45268

• Deputies responded to Ramsey Rd in regards to a domestic dispute. Deputies contacted a female and her boyfriend. According to both parties, they were arguing due to the male’s drinking and the female being a recovering alcoholic. The male agreed he should not have been drinking and knew it would upset her. No crimes were committed and the two parties agreed to separate for the night. 20-45258

• Deputies responded to Heron Ave in Hayden in regards to welfare check. It was a reported an elderly female was knocking on neighbors’ doors. Deputies contacted the female at her residence. The female is well known by deputies and it was apparent she suffers from mental health issues. The female was paranoid and delusional however she was dressed appropriately, and not a harm to herself or others. Deputies contacted the female’s sister and advised her of what occurred. According to the sister, she is in the process of getting her some mental health assistance. 20-45251

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to West Gallop Lane for a 911 open line. Central Dispatch advised they could hear yelling and then the line disconnected. Deputies contacted a male who stated he was trying to download music on his telephone, became frustrated, and threw his telephone. This somehow caused his telephone to call 911. 20-45283

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on North Government Way near West Hanley Avenue for one headlight. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol 45 minutes prior to the traffic stop. An additional Deputy arrived on scene and conducted SFST’s on the driver who was arrested for DUI. 20-45300

Deputy responded to Highway 95 near MP419 for a non-injury, vehicle vs elk crash. ISP had no units on, so Deputies took the report. 20-45305

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Hayden Avenue and Maple Street. The driver of the vehicle, had an active warrant out of Ada County for "harassing communication." He was arrested on his warrant. 20-45313
