FRIENDS: Nation needs them now

I have many “friends” to keep me company at home. Friends like Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint-Exupéry, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Albert Camus. Some of you may be familiar with them… They are my friends as I read and reread many of their writings. And I know that a certain bloke in Washington D.C. and many of his followers do not know who these writers are.

Were my right index finger a drill, it would have drilled a hole in my cranium as I scratch there when I hear what a bloke in D.C. and many of his followers are doing to foul up our country as well as the planet we live in. Do they care about others? I somehow doubt.

We are in a wonderful place on this planet, but are confronted with several problems needing to be solved so we can happily enjoy our family and friends. One problem is to fight Covid-19; another is to get our country “united” so it really is a United States!

All of the people who lost members of their family as well as friends to the Covid-19 because of the incompetence of those who should have done what medical doctors and others knowledgeable about epidemics professed. Since we live in a “sue society,” we should sue the incompetents who have thrown and still are throwing a wrench in the fight against Covid-19 .

I ask you readers to think about the situation we are in. For now, do follow what knowledgeable persons tell you to do: wear a mask, wash your hands often, keep a distance from other people, do not congregate, and let the vaccines be used!
