Notable calls for the day!

11-23-2020

• Day Shift handled the following notable calls: A Deputy took a theft report of building supplies. 23 sheets of OSB and extension cords were stolen from a home under construction at on W. Seasons Rd.

• A Deputy responded to JDC and arrested a juvenile male for his 4 warrants. This was the juvenile who ran from his parents up Canfield Mountain.

• A Deputy responded with Detectives to E. Harrison Ave. There they located runaway and probation absconder. He was arrested and removed from NCIC.

• A Patrol Sergeant responded with Detectives to the Sleep Inn at S. Pleasant View Rd. in an attempt to contact the passenger from this morning's pursuit. Detectives had obtained information from Arizona that the driver was suspected of stabbing and beating the vehicles owner before the truck was stolen. It was unknown the extent of the passenger involvement. She was contacted and interviewed by Detectives.

• Evening Shift handled the following notable calls: A Deputy contacted a victim in regards to a stolen utility trailer. The Deputy learned that the male parked the trailer at a residence (in Huetter) in October and shortly after he returned to find it missing. The trailer was entered into NCIC and a report was taken. 20-50514

• A Deputy contacted a victim in regards to a possible theft. The victim’s father recently passed away and her stepmother and she do not get along. The victim has been attempting to retrieve her possessions from her stepmother and step siblings however she has faced a lot of resistance. The Deputy was able to speak to all parties and at the time of his report they agreed to allow victim to retrieve her property. 20-50523

• A Deputy responded to the KCSO PSB in regards to drugs being found on an inmate during pre-booking. Detention Deputies located methamphetamine in the possessions belonging to a female that was brought in by “Bounty Hunters”. She was charged for being in possession of methamphetamine. 20-50526

• A Deputy investigated a battery that took place at East Point Rd. According to dispatch, the victim was in the hospital in Saint Maries and was being treated for her injuries. The Deputy was able to contact the female victim by telephone and learned she had been in a physical altercation with her roommate and had sustained serious injuries to her face. The victim provided the Deputy with enough information for a report, however she refused to meet in person. 20-50539

• Deputies responded to the area of Derting Rd in regards to a Suicide attempt. It was learned that a 16 YOA female had contacted her friend and advised she had taken 15-20 ibuprofen in an attempt to harm herself. The child’s mother arrived prior to Deputies arrival and agreed to have her daughter go to Kootenai Health to be admitted. The juvenile was transported by medical to KH where her mother admitted her in to the emergency room. 20-50538

• Night Shift handled the following notable calls: A Patrol Sergeant stopped a male at Hwy 95 X Espinoza Drive after he nearly collided into his patrol vehicle. It was learned that the driver was having a difficult time steering his vehicle due to vehicle problems. A Deputy and his K-9 partner arrived and after a sniff of the vehicle, methamphetamine paraphernalia was located. The driver was ultimately charged for failure to maintain lane, possession of drug paraphernalia and DWP. 20-50554
