THANKS: To safe-minded businesses

I would like to express my thanks to the local businesses that have done so much to protect their customers and employees.

They have installed plastic sheeting between their cashiers and the public, dividers in the self-checkout sections, 6-foot social distancing marked on the floors and in some stores, arrows directing traffic one way (largely ignored by most customers) but there for them to assist in social distancing.

And then there are the restaurants who have marked every other booth or a table as closed to separate customers. Their employees are all wearing masks including the kitchen help. Offering takeout and curbside service for pickup. Reducing the number of customers they can serve also reduces their income.

Also thanks to the stores that are requiring masks to enter and shop and offering masks if someone didn’t come prepared. I am impressed with their efforts and offer my thanks.
