SHOPPING: Mandate stops cash flow

| November 22, 2020 1:00 AM

Thank you Mark Zepeda for your letter. I totally agree. When I saw that Coeur d’Alene started a mask mandate, I decided that they no longer needed my business. I was thankful when the City of Hayden and Post Falls did not go to a mask mandate. I now shop exclusively in Hayden or Post Falls. If those two cities do not have what I need then I do not need it that bad.

After all these many months of people screaming "wear a mask," I do not think we need to have this forced upon us. The people who wear masks are still going to wear masks whether there is a mandate or not. People who choose not to wear a mask are not going to change their mind with a mandate.

I choose not to wear a mask for psychological reasons. For those people who say you will get used to it, no, you do not. It is like telling someone with a fear of heights to climb to the top of a high rise, they will get over it.

Wear a mask if you want to but leave the rest of us alone.
