KCRCC: A question of motives

| November 20, 2020 1:00 AM

Thank you for the well thought out editorial regarding the KCRCC’s potential attempt to take the three school board seats that are up for re-election next year.

The job of trustee is not an easy one. They spend countless hours in meetings. They are forced to make difficult decisions. They are attacked on social media, and they do all of this with no compensation.

While I do not agree with every decision the board makes, I appreciate their effort, and I believe that they make decisions based on what they believe is best for kids, parents, staff and the community.

IF it is true that the KCRCC is interested in taking these seats, then we must ask why. Are they interested in doing what is best for kids? Are they interested in helping the staff of the district? Are their goals related to education?

I truly hope that if they do attempt to take these seats, they do so with noble, and not nefarious intentions.
