OPINIONS: This, that and Patricks

| November 18, 2020 1:00 AM

I don’t wear a mask. I don’t lockdown. I try to stay within the speed limits, but I kinda don’t.

Never had a flu shot. Don’t wear a seatbelt. I’ve never put safety at the top of my priority list. I smoke cigarettes. Half a century worth, I drink a little whiskey. Never had health insurance. I don’t go to doctors, so I’m not on any prescription drugs. I’m not looking to “prevent’ anything.” Come at me, Life. Carpe Diem.

I still flirt with girls (38 years old or older). I just turned 68 years old.

Thank you Post Falls and Hayden for staying Free, and rejecting mask mandates. Thank you Kerri Thoreson. I’m sure you are already taking heat. You’re a big girl. You can handle it.

Thank you to all the sheepdogs that came down to Sherman Avenue last June to make sure the BLM “protestors” behaved themselves.

Glad to hear Mike Patrick survived his health challenge. Wishing you the best, Mike. I know Mike and Sholeh are progs and they cannot resist insulting the residents of this most beautiful place, this refuge of North Idaho. They can’t help themselves. It’s a prog thing. Offense given, but no offense taken.

“None come to me, unless He who sent Me, draws him.” Took me half a lifetime to figure that one out. I have hope for the Patricks.

I didn’t come here until I was 50 years old. I was a soldier, serving overseas back in 1972 and one of my buddies was from here. He always waxed poetic about this magical place he was from, called Coeur d’Alene. I found it in 2003.
