National Geographic filmmaker Hazen Audell and his show “Primal Survivor” on the NatGeo channel has some roots in the Inland Northwest.

“Primal Survivor” debuted its fifth season on NatGeo Nov. 3 with episode one of the popular series.

Post-production audio work for all episodes of the current season series was done at the Spokane Productions studio in Liberty Lake.

The storyline of the show follows Audell around the world as he lives with indigenous peoples and learns how they survive and thrive in their unusual environments.

Spokane Productions is a new, 1,000 square-foot production facility for audio and video in Liberty Lake. It played an integral part in post-production for the show. Spokane Productions worked with film and television production talent from the United Kingdom that worked through leading-edge technology to produce the show and audio portions necessary to complete post-production and prepare for broadcast.

Linking two studios together across the ocean allowed the two production facilities to produce key parts of the show in Spokane.

Spokane Productions is a full-service production facility for media and recording professionals. The facility boasts video production space and equipment, a recording studio, a 35-foot cyclorama, infinity wall, green screen, audio isolation booth and location recording and filming capabilities. Spokane Productions caters to ad agencies, corporate customers, musicians, bands, and video and audio producers.
