GROWTH: Address the cause

| November 11, 2020 1:00 AM

The comment by KPMO’s executive director Glenn Miles, “Now we will start planning for more congestion and more delays …” is totally uncalled for and makes it sound as if he will punish the voters.

Now it’s time to do his job and seriously look at the alternatives for funding these required and necessary construction projects by considering special fees for developers, new home construction and potentially out-of-state vehicle transfers, etc., who are the true cause for the increased traffic and consequent need of improved infrastructure.

Growth will happen but the burden should be born particularly by those who cause it, not the residents whose property taxes are already going up as a result of this influx.
