Theodore 'Ted' Paul Braden, 41
Theodore Paul Braden, 41, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Ted was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene to Robert Braden and Sandra Messerly Braden. He joined his two big sisters, Angie and Bonnie, and was the baby boy we all had hoped for.
Ted went to school in Coeur d’Alene. He worked a few different occupations in his life, taking skills from everything he did. He worked in Post Falls, at Loves Travel Stop in the tire shop, for seven years, but his years in construction provided his most valued skills.
At the time of his death, Ted was his own boss, doing home and office remodels and repairs for people. He got to use his creativity and construction skills to make a living, and he loved it. Ted was always showing before and after pictures of his jobs and projects. Ted had pride in everything he did and put out his best, no matter what the job was.
In 2000, while working at St. Vincent De Paul, Ted met the love of his life, Denise, and they married in 2007 in Las Vegas. Ted was a better friend than step-dad to Denise's boys, Nick and Brice, and they brought Ted much joy as they grew up and grew into men.
Ted is survived by his wife, Denise, of Coeur d'Alene; stepsons, Nick (Coren) Shore of Coeur d'Alene and Brice (Breanna) Shore of Post Falls; mother, Sandra Braden of Coeur d'Alene; sisters, Angela and Bonnie Braden of Coeur d'Alene; uncle, Bill Braden of Coeur d'Alene; granddaughters, Sophia, Addison and Kennedy; three nieces, Jenna, Josie and Katie; and two nephews, Tyler and Braden. Ted was preceded in death by his dad, grandparents, aunt, uncles, and, just two months ago, his canine companion, Mary Lou.
Ted's talents and creative brain knew no boundaries, and he was always working on a project or thinking of ways to make something better. He was an amazing fix-it guy and was ready to help anyone in need of having something fixed. Once you were welcomed into Ted's circle, you had a loyal and devoted friend for life. He had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and he loved playing pranks on people. You quickly learned you were hanging out with a professional prankster and you better be able to hold your own.
A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Nov. 13, 2020, at Yates Funeral Home – Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. We will also have it via Zoom, meeting number 720 7853 2742, passcode 489007.
