SPECIAL ADVERTISING CONTENT: Luxury cabins and more nature-infused options at Dover Bay

| November 8, 2020 1:00 AM

The weather cools and the leaves change, but buyer interest at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community on Lake Pend Oreille remains a constant force.

A recently re-released neighborhood is particularly eye-catching for those looking for a luxury home engulfed in nature and North Idaho landscapes. The Cabin in the Woods neighborhood is very much what it sounds like — homes with a classic cabin exterior in the heart of the Dover Bay Community, surrounded by large trees and lush natural features and all within steps of walking and biking trails, beaches and direct access to Lake Pend Oreille.

These aren’t your grandfather’s cabins either. The Cabin in the Woods neighborhood at Dover Bay epitomizes luxury, with modern amenities, two distinct exterior design options, large wrap-around decks, outdoor rock fireplaces and more premium features.

The homes can be two or three bedrooms with approximately 1,200 or 1,500-square-foot floor plans. You can bring in your own builder or work with Dover Bay to connect with one of their trusted building partners in the area. Either way, you can cater the indoor living space to your own needs and design preferences.

Touted as an extremely low-maintenance community, the Cabin in the Woods neighborhood includes regular landscaping, mowing and snow removal services. Expect easy living throughout all four seasons.

Home lot prices start at $150,000, and, as of this writing, just six lots remain in the neighborhood.

You can live a secluded cabin life while still being close to all of Dover Bay’s resort amenities. Just a short walk from the Cabin in the Woods neighborhood is Dover Bay’s Marina Village on Lake Pend Oreille, featuring beach access, boat and water recreation rentals and short-term and seasonal moorage at the recently expanded marina.

The Marina Village also includes a year-round, outdoor, heated swimming pool and spa, fitness center, market, tennis courts and more. The Marina Village is also home to the community’s full-service restaurant, The Dish, currently open for dinner 4-9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The Dover Bay Waterfront Community is home to many distinct neighborhoods that cater to different buyer lifestyles and price points. At the cedar and pine-tree accented Estuary Forest neighborhood, just one home site remains, priced at $150,000. Estuary Forest boasts lush open fields, wildlife sightings and access to a private inlet for kayaking and other non-motorized recreation.

Meanwhile, just three home sites remain at Dover Bay’s Bayside North neighborhood, with prices starting at $89,500. That neighborhood features unrivaled mountain views and many appealing natural elements incorporated into the lots.

Dover Bay also makes for an excellent vacation option all throughout the year. Book a getaway at one of the community’s premium bungalows and other diverse vacation rental options. Make plans to stay at Dover Bay for ski season, as Schweitzer Mountain Resort is located just 12 miles from the community. Enjoy more vacation options in Sandpoint, located 3 miles from Dover Bay. Fireplaces come standard in a Cabin in the Woods property, but buyers can bring in their own builder to customize their interior spaces.
