MASKS: Prayer more effective
To Mayor Steve Widmyer: I just viewed your comment on the news regarding the “need to do something” to protect Idahoans from COVID-19. Please consider this: There is something that can be done, and it has nothing to do with city leaders taking personal health care choices out of the hands of the people. A citywide mask mandate is unethical and a gross overreach of city government.
Most of your constituents, the silent majority, do not agree with or support the city’s recent mask mandate as a way to prevent a virus from spreading. Viruses are microscopic, thus traveling right through a cloth face covering, and therefore infecting a masked person more readily in the moist, bacteria-laden environment the mask has caused. Not only does a mask not provide protection from viruses, but it actually causes harm by restricting oxygen to the body. Many people believe that a mask mandate will lead to a vaccine mandate. A vaccine mandate is about control and greed, and it is surely not in the best interest of a free people. Stand up for North Idaho, and give people the freedom to make their own choices regarding their health care.
How can Idahoans most effectively fight COVID-19? Prayer MUST be called for by our leaders. It would be appropriate to ask the people of Coeur d’Alene to pray for health care workers, neighbors and for their families. The faith-based community is already praying … but our leaders must turn to prayer and call for prayer as well.
