GARRETT: Stay out of Cloud 9
A recent drive-by post (by a newly arrived, fresh off the streets dissident to the Catholic religion) cried all over our local newspaper over a sermon he heard here against socialism.
He stated that he “recently moved to Coeur d’Alene,” clearly bringing his Antifa ideas with him. He ends his childish rant with the “pay your taxes” threat.
Among his many wild — and untrue claims — Garrett erroneously believes that the word “Nazi” does not stand for socialism. Hmm. Let’s see what Nazi stands for … oh, look: Google defines a Nazi as “a member of the National Socialist German Workers Party.” Nothing there about fascism.
And look again: Wikipedia calls nazism “National Socialism.” Not fascism. History.com defines the Nazi Party as “The National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
So Antifa Garrett needs to first get his facts straight if he’s going to recently arrive to North Idaho and start swinging wild at his new neighbors. So since Garrett is behind on history, but thinks he’s up to speed on the latest Antifa dogma, we can remind him that “The fascists of the future will call themselves anti fascists” (Winston Churchill, 1942).
