Homicide suspect arrested in Kootenai County

A man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Montana was arrested in Kootenai County Tuesday.

Benial Davis, 37, of Billings, was stopped while driving a vehicle on Interstate 90 after an Idaho State Police trooper saw a traffic violation, according to an ISP press release.

Davis was arrested and booked into the Kootenai County jail on a deliberate homicide warrant out of Yellowstone County, Mont.

Q2 News in Montana reported that Davis is a suspect in the shooting of Waylon Bearground, 30, of Lame Deer, on Sunday. Bearground later died at the hospital.

An investigation continues.
