Michael Hicks

Boise State baseball

Hicks, a redshirt senior outfielder from Coeur d’Alene High, was named to the All-Mountain West Conference team, the conference announced. Hicks started all 14 games while serving as Boise State’s primary left fielder. He batted .386 with 11 runs batted in, one home run and eight doubles. Hicks, who intends to return to BSU (9-5 in 2020) next year, led the Broncos in doubles, RBI, hits (22) and extra-base hits (9). His 0.57 doubles per game was seventh nationally. Due to the shortened season, each Mountain West school garnered three spots on this year’s all-conference squad.

Garrett White

Community Colleges of Spokane basketball

White, a 6-foot-5 sophomore guard/forward from North Idaho Christian who averaged 21.6 points per game for the Sasquatch in 29 games during the 2019-20 season, has signed to play at NAIA Vanguard in Costa Mesa, Calif. Spokane was 24-6 before having its season cut short in the Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament due to the coronavirus pandemic.
