TDS picking up lunch tab for key pandemic workers

| May 8, 2020 1:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — From May 15 to May 31, TDS Telecom will be picking up the tab for first responders and essential employees at two local restaurants. The participating restaurants include Caddyshack, 1100 W. Prairie Ave., and Jimmy’s Down the Street, 1613 E. Sherman Ave.

Each restaurant has a $2,000 tab and will be providing free lunch for pickup until the tab runs out. This free lunch will be provided to those who work as first responders, or are employed by the USPS, UPS, FedEx, or local grocery stores.

Over the past month, several restaurants and coffee shops have provided free meals and drinks to first responders for their efforts during the coronavirus.

“TDS is honored to help support our local residents, as well as our businesses, both who are on the frontlines of this pandemic,” said Anita Parisot, TDS spokeswoman.
