PLAYGROUNDS: Let them play

| May 8, 2020 1:00 AM

I meant to write a couple weeks ago to thank the city of Coeur d’Alene for not shutting down Tubbs Hill or City Beach. What a blessing.

Also, I was happy to see that Hagadone kept the boardwalk open.

On a more negative note, I wonder why are the playground equipment in city parks taped off like crime scenes? What scientific evidence showed that children going down a slide would be in danger of catching the COVID-19 virus? Who made this decision? When will they open? I think the public, especially parents, have a right to know.

Thankfully, I see parents out bicycling with their children and children on foot scooters having fun and getting fresh air.
