CALENDARS: Please check yours

Did you know that, on March 28, 2017, President Donald Trump signed legislation to enact the “National Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017,” establishing the National Vietnam War Veterans Day that will be celebrated each year on March 29? It is now, by law, a national day of observance, such as Pearl Harbor Day, Patriot Day, Flag Day, and others; and the flag is to be flown on March 29 every year.

This national day of observance is not on many of our calendars. And, it should be. Please take a look at your calendars and see if National Vietnam War Veterans Day is listed on March 29. If it isn’t, please take a moment and write a letter or a note to whatever organization or publishing company is connected to the calendar, and ask them to add this to their calendar. There seems to be no other way to get this done.

A grateful nation honors and thanks our Vietnam veterans. Let’s prove it.
