SMILE: It’s good medicine
People who know me know that I will try to find humor in everything possible. Humor can be found due to stupidity, irony, PC and non-PC, politics, religion and often a good mix of any of those reasons.
Not sure which combo it was Thursday in the CdA Press, but I got a great laugh.
The outside wrap, known as spadia in newspaper lingo (thanks Mike Patrick!), Thursday had a photo of Enemy #1 (Covid-19) and a plug for local businesses. It mentioned the accompanying ads would “help keep your family safe and healthy.”
Opening it up the first thing that jumped up was a sale on ammunition. Keep your family safe and healthy with more ammo!
I want to know if, or how many, folks out there foresee a time when a person who (maybe?) has Covid needs to be shot down. Maybe I’m overreacting. Maybe it’s to protect the 200 packages of TP in their garage. [insert LOL avatar here]
It’s a whack world in these times. Wash your hands. Support your local businesses. Don’t shoot anybody (yet).
And most importantly, don’t forget to let yourself be amused. A smile goes a long way. You’re not going to live any longer without one.
