Athlete of the Week: Talon Twoteeth, Lakeside High

Talon Twoteeth

Lakeside High School

The 6-foot senior guard averaged 16.3 points in three games as the Knights won the state 1A Division II boys basketball championship last weekend in the Treasure Valley, capped by a 74-57 victory over Cascade in the championship game at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. It was Lakeside’s first state title since 1997, when Knights coach James Twoteeth, Talon’s dad, was a player. “To do it (win a state title) with my son, that’s awesome,” James Twoteeth said. “Every parent wants that for your son, and to do it his senior year, that’s awesome.”
