May 19 primary candidates

Every day between March 2 and March 13, the Coeur d’Alene Press will assemble the list of candidates who have filed their declarations to run for state and county seats on the May 19 primary ballot.

Republican incumbent Bill Brooks filed his declaration for District 1 Commissioner.

Republican Elizabeth Jacobsen filed her declaration to run as a Republican for the District 2 position currently held by Chris Fillios.

Mike Bauer declared his candidacy for Kootenai County Sheriff. Bauer, running as an independent, will run in the General Election.

So far, only one other sheriff’s candidate — Republican Kim Edmondson — has declared to run with the local elections office.

Barry McHugh declared his intention to seek re-election as Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney. The Republican, is seeking his fourth term. McHugh is also running for the 41st Precinct seat in the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee.

Jacob Garretson has declared his candidacy for Precinct 32 Committeeman for the KCRCC.

Carol Goodman declared her candidacy for the KCRCC’s 34th Precinct.

Todd Banducci declared his candidacy for Precinct 37 in the KCRCC.

Terri Seymour filed a declaration for the KCRCC’s 39th Precinct seat.

Chad Ross declared his candidacy for the KCRCC’s 62nd Precinct Committee seat.

Idaho State Rep. Ron Mendive filed his declaration for the KCRCC’s 65th Precinct seat.
