BERNIE: Oh yes, he’s special
The Bernie Sanders (Bernie the Commie) attraction I lay at the feet of the group of adults age 40 through 55 years old. This is the group of parents that supported the concept that every child is “Special,” no one should stand out and everyone should get a Participation Trophy for merely showing up.
Of course the children of these parents thought they were something special. They went through school and then went into college, where they borrowed large amounts of money in the form of student loans to pay for college. In college they were bombarded daily with the rhetoric that America was bad, the very wealthy were bad and that socialism was good. All this, from socialist leaning professors who couldn’t get a real job outside in the real world.
So they graduated with a degree in Advanced Basket Weaving or some other degree that didn’t give them much in the way of an opening into a good paying job. They thought they were special and wanted to start a job at the top and not an entry-level position. Of course that didn’t happen, and most are now working at menial jobs, some living with Mom and Dad and they have a huge debt load due to those pesky student loan payments. But their idol Bernie is right there with them.
Bernie never held a job until he became a postmaster in some Podunk town in Vermont. He went through three wives, supporting him in the lifestyle he desired. He’s now on No. 4 and drives a $200,000 Audi R8 sports car. Yeah, he believes in socialism — for everyone else.
