Keith and Janie Ford

50th Anniversary

Keith and Janie met at a state basketball tournament in Burley, Idaho, in 1967. She was a cheerleader and he was president of his student body. It was love at first sight and a letter writing relationship began. They were married in Kendrick, Idaho, on June 26, 1970.

They moved to Whidbey Island NAS where Keith was stationed. He was deployed for two cruises during the Vietnam War (more letter writing). Finally, he was home and they raised their family in Juliaetta, Idaho. The couple moved to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to their family, enjoying being present in all their life events.

Their family includes daughter Angie and Jon Prendergast; grandsons Braxton and Kyler, and Luke and Ashley Ford; grandsons Rylie and Caden and granddaughter Hadley. Bonus grandchildren include Janyl Sanders and Jeff Prendergast; and great-grandchildren Kennedy and Jackman Prendergast and Jurnie Sanders.

A dinner celebration is planned with a trip to Belize when the pandemic allows.
