Kiddies Parade canceled

The Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department announced Thursday that the 2020 Kiddies Parade is canceled, in keeping with recommendations made by Panhandle Health District.

The news comes shortly after the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce announced the cancellation of the July 4 parade and organized festivities, due to increasing cases of COVID-19 in North Idaho.

“The Recreation Department feels that this decision is what is best for our community during this time,” a news release said. “We appreciate your continued support for our programs and look forward to next year’s parade.
