OPINIONS: All are welcome

Your opinion page on June 12 was great. Present a wide range of opinions, not all of which we can agree upon.

Personally, as a conservative, I support the First and Second amendments. I love the idea of law-abiding citizens carrying guns.

One letter writer praises ANTIFA. I think she is wrong in doing so.

ANTIFA has attacked people with rocks, clubs and liquids in Portland and on the UC Berkeley campus. Why?

1. A spokesman for UC Berkeley said last year that free speech is OK as long as it doesn’t happen on campus.

2. The mayor of Portland and the governor of Oregon support ANTIFA.

3. The mayor of Seattle and the governor of Washington are no better.

4. The people’s republic of California would like to be an independent, socialist country.

Good riddance!
