Athlete of the Week: Jaret Taylor, Northern Lakes Mountaineers

Taylor, a 2019 Lakeland High grad who plans to play baseball at Walla Walla Community College, pitched a no-hitter last week against Silver Valley, and is hitting .455 through five games for the Mountaineers (4-1). “Jaret brings great leadership to our team,” Northern Lakes coach Bryce Johnson said. “As an older guy on our team, I challenged him to be the leader on the field and he has excelled in that role. Jaret is the ultimate competitor, he elevates the play of all of his teammates and leads the way by example.”
