Post Falls seeks subdivision comments

Green Meadows proposed to be built east of Greensferry, north of Killdeer

Post Falls may see more new single-family homes this fall, as River City Properties LLC has submitted a subdivision application for Green Meadows North.

The company proposed the construction of 54 residential and four commercial fifth-acre lots located east of Greensferry Road and north of Killdeer Lane.

The 18.42-acre project will go before administrative review and community comments to evaluate if the subdivision aligns with Post Falls municipal code.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city of Post Falls and Kootenai County amended municipal code with a temporary emergency ordinance.

The amendment allows applications to be processed without a public hearing, authorizes the use of a hearing examiner for final land use decisions, suspends any conflicting ordinances, and permits officials to publish a summary and effective date for all proposals.
