Psychic readings apparently missed future arrest

HAYDEN — A driver who had left a meeting of psychics couldn’t see quite far enough in the future to avoid being arrested Friday.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office reported that a deputy stopped a vehicle at Boekel Road and U.S. 95. The driver said she was on her way home from her group psychic reading.

“During the contact the deputy saw signs of impairment,” KCSO reported on Facebook.

The female driver failed Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and provided breath alcohol concentration samples of .118/.110, KCSO reported. In Idaho, it is illegal to drive under the influence of drugs or with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or more.

The deputy also found an open bottle of wine on the front passenger floor board.

The driver was arrested for DUI and open container.

“It was too bad the psychic reading did not see that for her future,” KCSO wrote.
