LEGION BASEBALL: Conces helps Lums notch first victory

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Quinn Conces delivered a two-run single in the second inning to open the scoring, and the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen class AA team went on to post its first victory of the season, a 4-1 triumph over the Bozeman Bucks on Thursday night.

Alex Karns struck out three and scattered four hits over five innings to get the win for Coeur d’Alene (1-4). Liam Paddack fanned two in two scoreless innings of relief.

Karns also drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

The Lums are scheduled to face the Yakima Beetles and the Bozeman Bucks in single games today, both in Bozeman.
