Road closures in Panhandle forest set to begin this week

Forest Service road closures in the Panhandle including the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District begin this week.

Forest Service Road 406 in the Burnt Cabin Saddle area will be closed beginning today because of logging operations. FSR 406 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Other closures include FS Road 406 Hayden Creek Divide. The road will be closed until mid-July. Motorists on FS Road 1511 should expect long delays starting this week through late June. Traffic on the Ohio Match Road will experience delays and heavy truck traffic on weekdays.

On FS Road 1587 travel delays can be expected until late June because of roadwork. A closure of FS Road 1513 can be expected from late June until mid August.
