Flag retirement ceremony on Saturday

Manuel Schneidmiller, American Legion Post 154, will conduct its annual Flag Retirement Ceremony at 10 a.m., Saturday, in the parking lot of the Rathdrum Lions Club. He said they have about 100 flags to retire.

Anyone who has a worn and tattered flag that needs to be retired in a dignified and honorable manner can bring it to the Lions Club on Saturday morning prior to the ceremony.

People may also bring flags to the flag box in front of the Rathdrum City Hall, on Main Street.

New flags can be purchased from the American Legion, Post 154 in Rathdrum.
