Susanna Timpano, 90

| June 10, 2020 1:00 AM

After a brief illness, Susanna Timpano passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Susanna was born in Detroit, Mich., on Oct. 13, 1929, and was raised in Los Angeles. She grew up in a large Italian family of four brothers and six sisters. She was loved by her family, and the foundation of love, togetherness and fun transcended her lifetime.

Susanna met the love of her life, William Timpano, and they married on Oct. 16, 1954. They started their family in Fresno, Calif. and moved to Whittier. They were blessed with six children: Alfonso, Paul, Maria, John, Andrea and Lisa. She was adored by her husband of 65 years, her children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren

Susanna was a dedicated wife and mother, first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a passionate personality and always made people around her laugh. Nothing made her happier than beating the pants off anybody who challenged her canasta skills.

We will always have Susanna in our thoughts and prayers. The following Bible verse epitomizes her life and her love for her Family.

“Honor Her for all that Her hands have done.” Proverbs 31:31
