Roy Lee Hunt, 71

Roy Lee Hunt was born to Norman Hayes Hunt and Pauline Asher Hunt on April 12, 1949, in Oakland, Calif. Roy peacefully passed away on May 30, 2020, in Veradale, Wash., to join his wife or more than 30 years, Judie Lynn Hunt. Roy is also preceded in death by his father and brothers, Earl Eugene Hunt and Ronald Norman Hunt, who are in the loving hands of the Lord. Roy is survived by his mother and his daughters, Paula Rosen, Coleen Loftus and Linda Marks. He is “PaPa” to Jason, Joshua, Alexandria, Dean, Jessie and Jordan, as well as an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy will be remembered for the love of his country, his unwavering passion for music and his uncanny ability to feel whatever he is playing. Roy was an outspoken and avid supporter of our uniformed armed forces and all those that served. His dedication to San Leandro Bobby Sox was evident with his passion in all youth sports. All that knew Roy were aware of his love for the San Francisco Giants and Seattle Seahawks. Roy took immense pride in being a father to his daughters and PaPa to his grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. The family welcomes all that wish to celebrate the wonderful life of Roy.
