PROTESTS: The unarmed Guard

Saw the headline on Tuesday morning’s Spokane paper. The National Guard was unarmed. The “thugs” were better equipped than the Guard.

Nothing’s changed. Back in the ’60s, I was with the Guard in SoCal. We were called to go and help the police with a L.A. riot. Don’t remember the year.

We got down there and were told to get on a side street or an alley and stay out of the way.

I bet with all the Guard out now and deployed all over the country, not one weapon has one round in it.
