Athlon Sports ranks five Big Sky football teams

in preseason

FCS Top 25 poll

FARMINGTON, Utah — The Big Sky continues to fill up the preseason polls, as the league had five teams honored in the Athlon Sports Preseason FCS Top 25 Poll released Tuesday.

The Big Sky and the Missouri Valley each had two in the top five of the poll. Overall, the Big Sky, Missouri Valley and Colonial each had five teams apiece in the Top 25.

Weber State earned the No. 3 spot, followed by Montana State at No. 5, Montana at No. 7, Sacramento State at No. 12, and Eastern Washington at No. 20.

All five teams were ranked in the final Top 25 poll of the 2019 season and the HERO SPORTS FCS Preseason Top 25 Poll last week. Sacramento State was ranked No. 4, Weber State No. 6, Montana No. 7, Montana State No. 9 and Eastern Washington No. 18.
