Scherr, a senior catcher from Lake City High, doubled twice and drove in a run for the Lumbermen in Sunday’s game against the Spokane Crew at Thorco Field in Coeur d’Alene. “Jackson called a great game behind the plate against a tough lineup,” Coeur d’Alene coach Erik Karns said. “We had a lot of guys throw and he handled them all very well. He’s turned himself into a quality catcher. His second double was the hardest hit ball on Sunday.”
