Two injured in Rathdrum crash

Idaho State Police responded to an injury crash on eastbound Pine Street in Rathdrum on Sunday at 10:43 a.m.

Jonathan R. Chrysler, 23, of Coeur d’Alene, was traveling eastbound on Pine Street in a 2000 Ford Taurus when he failed to make a left curve at the intersection of Pine and Wright Street, striking a power pole on the passenger side of the vehicle and coming to rest just east of the power pole in the grass, according to ISP.

Brenda L. Norris, 45, of Coeur d’Alene, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Seat belts were in use. Both were transported to Kootenai Health.

Impairment is suspected as a factor in the crash.

The investigation continues.
